Short answer: the easiest way to rent a car at Agadir Al Massira Airport is to book before you fly and have the car brought to you at arrivals. Bring your driving licence (held for at least 2 years) and your passport, check the car with the agent, note the fuel level, and you can be on the road to Agadir, about 25 km away, within minutes of landing.

Most of our customers land at Agadir Al Massira Airport (AGA) and want the same three things: a clean car waiting for them, no surprise at the counter, and a quick start to their holiday. This guide covers what we explain to customers every day: how airport delivery works, which documents you need, what to check before you drive off, and how to choose the right car for the trips you have in mind.

How airport car rental works at Agadir Al Massira

Al Massira is a small, easy airport. There is one main arrivals hall, and the car parks are a short walk from the exit. With a delivery service like ours, there is no queue at a rental desk: an agent waits for you at the arrivals exit at the time of your flight, walks you to the car and goes through the paperwork with you.

  1. Book in advance with your flight number and arrival time. We follow your flight, so a delay does not cost you the car.
  2. Meet the agent at arrivals. Our agent is there before you land, whatever the hour.
  3. Inspect the car together. Walk around it, take photos or a short video of every side, and check the fuel gauge. We do the same, so both sides have the same record.
  4. Sign the contract and go. Payment is made at delivery, and the agent explains the car documents kept in the glove box.

Delivery at the airport is free with JAFWHEELS. Returning is the same in reverse: agree the time and place with us, and we meet you at the terminal before your departure.

Documents you need

Document Details
Driving licence Valid, and held for at least 2 years
Passport or national ID card For the main driver and any second driver
Minimum age 21 years for every driver named on the contract
Second driver Must be declared on the contract and present when it is signed

Only the drivers written on the contract may drive the car. If a friend or family member might take the wheel, add them at delivery rather than later.

Which car should you choose?

The right car depends less on the airport and more on what you plan to do in the next few days.

  • Staying in Agadir, beaches and city: a compact car is easier to park along the seafront and in the Talborjt area. The Dacia Logan and Renault Clio 5 are popular for this, from 300 DH (30€) per day.
  • Day trips to Paradise Valley, Taghazout or Tiznit: a car with a bit more ground clearance, such as the Dacia Sandero Stepway, is comfortable on country roads.
  • Long drives to Marrakech or Essaouira, or a family with luggage: an automatic with more space is worth it. The Skoda Octavia and Volkswagen T-Roc are our most requested for these trips.

What to check before you leave the airport

Our checklist for customers: photos or a video of all four sides and the wheels, the fuel level, the spare tyre and jack, that the air conditioning works, and that the car registration and insurance papers are in the glove box. Five minutes here avoids any discussion at return.

On fuel, the rule is simple: return the car with the same level you received it. Petrol stations are easy to find on the road from the airport toward Agadir.
